特徴
- Mouse Renin is a secreted, 42-47kD glycosylated member of the peptidase A1 family.
- It is an aspartyl protease that cleaves angiotensinogen to form angiotensin I.
- In mouse, there are two genes that code for Renin.
- One is in the submandibular gland and the other is in the kidney.
- The two mature Renin molecules are 95% aa identical.
- Renal Renin (Renin 1) is synthesized as a 381aa proform (aa22-402).
- In the kidney, pro-Renin is proteolytically cleaved after Thr71 to generate a mature enzyme.
- Mouse pro-Renin shares 70% and 85% aa sequence identity with human and rat pro-Renin, respectively.
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 0.1-0.4ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C for short-term only.
- Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C.
- Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
