Tyrosine hydroxylase catalyses the rate-limiting step in the biosynthetic pathway of the catecholamines dopamine (DA), norepinephrine, and epinephrine.
The enzyme exists as a tetramer, with each subunit composed of an N-terminal regulatory domain and a C-terminal catalytic domain.
Tyrosine hydroxylase is regularly used as a marker for dopaminergic neurons, which is particularly relevant for research into Parkinson’s disease.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:1,000Western Blot: 1:1,000Immunofluorescence: 1:1,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
