Using anti-Yo antibodies, three genes have been cloned (CDR 1-3).
CDR2 Cerebellar degeneration related protein 2) suppresses the transcriptional activity and DNA binding of nuclear factor-kappa B by an unknown mechanism.
The neuron specific expression of CDR2 is regulated by a post-transcriptional mechanism.
CDR2 is an onconeuronal antigen; i.e.
an antigen that is expressed by systemic tumors and elicits an immune response that may develop into an autoimmune neuronal degeneration.
Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) is a disorder in which breast or ovarian tumors express CDR2, which normally is expressed in cerebellar Purkinje neurons
Applications:Suitable for ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.
Other Applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Wester Blot: 2ug/ml; Positive Control: HeLa whole cell lysates.
A band is seen at ~51kD
Immunohistochemistry: 5-10ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
