特徴
- Apolipoprotein M (ApoM) is a member of the lipocalin protein family.
- It is found associated with high density lipoproteins and to a lesser extent with low density lipoproteins and triglyceride-rich lipoproteins.
- It is positively related to leptin.
- It is mainly expressed in liver and kidney.
- ApoM is secreted through the plasma membrane but remains membrane-bound, where it is involved in lipid transport.
- It is important for the formation of prebeta-HDL and cholesterol efflux to HDL, and thereby inhibits formation of atherosclerotic lesions.
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:16000Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Positive Control:Human Placenta lysates
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
