Interleukin-22 (IL-22) is a regulatory cytokine and member of the IL-10 family, secreted by activated T cells, which signals through a class II cytokine receptor system consisting of IL-22R and IL-10R-beta/CRF2-4.
IL-22 has been shown to act as an inhibitor of the production of IL-4 by Th2 cells, up-regulate the production of acute phase reactants in the pancreas and liver, and to be up-regulated in intestinal inflammation associated with Crohn’s disease.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Neutralization and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Sandwich ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml.
In conjunction with Biotinated anti-mouse IL-22 as a detection antibody detects at least 2000-4000pg/ml of recombinant mouse IL-22
Western Blot: 0.1 -0.2ug/ml.
The detection limit is 1.5-3ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditionsNeutralization: 2ug/ml yeilds one half maximal inhibition (ND50) of the biological activity of mouse IL-22 (50ng/ml)Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O .
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
