BIRC6 is a member of a family of proteins that inhibit apoptosis, likely through interference with activation of ICE-like proteases.
BIRC6 which contains a single BIR domain and a ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme domain, is expressed in multiple cancer cell lines.
Brain cancer cell lines that overexpress BIRC6 demonstrate multi-drug resistanceimplying that BIRC6 may protect cancer cells from undergoing apoptosis and participate in tumorigenesis and drug resistance.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.

Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:16000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
