• Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells.
• In vertebrates 3 main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta and gamma have been identified.
• The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus.
• The beta and gamma actins coexist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton and as mediators of internal cell motility.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Peptide ELISA: 1:4000Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml.
• A band of ~45kD observed in human Duodenum lysates
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
