• RARRES1 (retinoic acid receptor responder 1; also Tig1) is a member of the protease inhibitor I47 family of proteins.
• It is expressed in epithelium, including keratinocytes, plus prostate and breast epithelium.
• It is considered to be a tumor-suppressor molecule, presumably acting as an inhibitor of carboxypeptidase A.
• Human RARRES1 is 294aa in length.
• It is a type II transmembrane (TM) protein with a TM segment between aa21-42.
• Three potential splice variants exist.
• There is a 46aa N-terminal extension, a four aa substitution for aa225-294 and a combination of these two variants.
• Over aa43-294, human RARRES1 shares 75% aa identity with human RARRES1.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/mlWestern Blot: 1.0ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
