Human CD166 is a type 1 glycoprotein expressed on activated T cells, B cells and monocytes and appears to be the ligand for CD6 (1,2).
Human CD166 may be important for activation of T cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml.
The detection limit for rhALCAM is approximately 1ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions
ELISA: This antibody can be used as a detection antibody in a human ALCAM ELISA in combination with the monoclonal capture antibody (Catalog# C2548-90P).
Using plates coated with 100ul/well of the capture antibody, in combination with 100ul/well of the detection antibody at 50ng/ml, an ELISA for sample volumes of 100ul can be obtained.
To arrive at the optimal dose range for this ELISA, set up a two-fold dilution series of the protein standard starting with 4ng/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
