TrkB is a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase family.
It is a membrane-bound receptor and upon neurotrophin binding, it phosphorylates itself as well as MAPK pathways members.
TrkB is the receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5 but not nerve growth factor (NGF).
It is Involved in the development and/or maintenance of the nervous system.
Subunit: Exists in a dynamic equilibrium between monomeric (low affinity) and dimeric (high affinity) structures.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:ELISA: 1:10,000Immunohistochemistry: 1:1,000-1:3,000 dilution used to stain frozen sections of rat peripheral sensory gangliaOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O.
Aliquot and store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
