Survivin is a 16kD apoptosis inhibitor protein (IAP).
It binds and inhibits the caspase-3 proteolytic activity and controls the checkpoint in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle to promote cell division by the control of microtubule stability and assembly of a normal mitotic spindle.
Survivin is highly expressed during fetal development, transformed cell lines, human cancers and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:50Western Blot: 1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
