S-phase kinase-associated protein 1A (Skp1) is a component of the SCF ubiquitin ligase complex, which mediates the ubiquitination of proteins involved in cell cycle progression, signal transduction and transcription.
Skp1 interacts directly with cullin 1 and F-box proteins in the SCF complex.
It is also involved in the control of beta-catenin levels and the activity of beta-catenin dependent TCF transcription factors
