Early endosome antigen 1 (EEA1) is a peripheral membrane protein that contains a calmodulin-binding IQ motif and cysteine rich finger motif necessary for its specific localization to the early endosomes.
These early endosomes are cytoplasmatic compartments which fuse the endocytic vesicles for redistribution of extracellular compounds to alternate destinations.
EEA1 mediates the regulatory effects of 3'-phosphoinositides on membrane trafficking through its FYVE-type zinc finger domain.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:50Western Blot (HeLa): 1:500Immunocytochemistry: 1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
