- Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (Cdk4) is a 34kD catalytic subunit of the protein kinase complex and belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family.
- Cdk4 forms a complex with D-type cyclins and may regulate cell growth during G1 phase of the cell cycle.
- Cdk4 also associates with Cdk inhibitor p16 that down-regulates Cdk4 activity.
- Mutations in Cdk4 are associated with tumorigenesis of a variety of cancers.
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:250Western Blot: 1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
