Amyloid precursor protein (APP) is a cell surface receptor and transmembrane precursor protein that undergoes extensive proteolytic processing by secretases to promote the neurite growth, neuronal adhesion, axonogenesis and transcriptional activation.
In Alzheimer's disease, APP is broken down and releases the amyloid- beta-peptide that is found in senile plaques and vessels.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
