特徴

• Vimentin is the 10nm or intermediate filament protein subunit found in many kinds of mesenchymal and epithelia cells, in many kinds of cells in tissue culture, and in developing neuronal and astrocytic precursor cells in the central nervous system.
• Vimentin frequently forms co-polymers with other intermediate filament proteins, such as GFAP (in astrocytes), with desmin (in muscle cells) and neurofilament proteins (in developing neurons).
• Antibodies to vimentin are useful in studies of stem cells and are generally used to reveal the filamentous cytoskeleton.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
