One mole of tubulin binds to two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha chain.
b-Tubulin III contains a highly acidic C-terminal region which can bind cations such as calcium.
It is abundant in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry.
Other applications not tested.
