特徴
- Catalase, also known as CAT, is both the classical marker for peroxisomes and the most abundant protein within them.
- It is found in almost all aerobically respiring organisms and serves to protect cells from the toxic effects of hydrogen peroxide.
- Defects in CAT can cause acatalasia.
- This disease is characterized by the absence of catalase activity in red cells and is often associated with ulcerating oral lesions.
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 0.05-0.2ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.5-1ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
- Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C.
- Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer
