The protein encoded by this gene is a ubiquitously expressed nuclear protein.
It binds directly, with several other proteins, to retinoblastoma protein which regulates cell proliferation.
This protein also interacts with rhombotin-2 which functions distinctly in erythropoiesis and in T-cell leukemogenesis.
Rhombotin-2 is thought to either directly affect the activity of the encoded protein or may indirectly modulate the functions of the retinoblastoma protein by binding to this protein.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000 Immunoprecipitation: 4-10ug/mg lysateOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
