Recently, a new heterodimeric cytokine termed IL-27 that consists of EBI3 (Epstein-Barr virus-induced gene 3), an IL-12p40-related protein, and p28, a newly discovered IL-12p35-related polypeptide has been discovered.
IL-27 is involved in early Th1 initiation.
Its action is mediated through the orphan cytokine receptor WSX-1/TCCR and gp130.
IL-27 may also play a role in the induction of T-bet expression and regulation of Ig class switching in B cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1-2ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
