HRD1 is a ubiquitin ligase whose expression is induced by the unfolded protein response (UPR) following endoplasmic reticulum stress.
Expression of HRD1 protects cells from apoptosis by inducing degradation of abnormally processed proteins that accumulate in the endoplasmic reticulum.
HRD1 is expressed in many tissues, strongly expressed in brain, pancreas, liver, kidney and skeletal muscle.
It has been reported that Synoviolin/Hrd1 (expressed in rheumatoid synovium) is a novel causative factor for arthropathy by triggering synovial cell outgrowth through its anti-apoptotic effects.
HRD1 contains one ring-type zinc finger.
Positive Control: 293T, INS-1, and MIN6 cell lysates.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
