Biotin is used as a growth factor in mammalian cell culture as well as having numerous immunological purification roles in avidin/streptavidin-biotin binding mechanisms.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunoelectrophoresis, Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, F.I.T., FLISA and Flow Cytometry/FACS.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: 1:20-1:2000Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-1:5000F.I.T.: Mean fluorescence intensity of a 1:1000 dilution at Ex-488nm (+/-9)/Em-518nm (+/-9) = 6643 MFI’sFLISA: Mean fluorescent value of 8ug/ml of FITC conjugate when tested against biotinylated Chicken IgG/Y coated at 4ug/ml = 1558 MFI’sOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
仕様
Size:1mg
Host:goat
Grade:Affinity Purified
Purity:Affinity purified using solid phase biotin. ~95% based on SDS-PAGE.
Form:Supplied as a in 10mM sodium phosphate, 0.15M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, 1% BSA (protease/IgG free), 0.05% sodium azide. Labeled to fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)
Specificity:Recognizes free Biotin and Biotin coupled to BSA, KLH or IgG/Y. Two predominant bands are seen at 50 and 24kD in SDS-PAGE. Does not react with free BSA or free KLH.
