特徴

• ATP7b is an important protein for copper transport and elimination of excess copper from the body.
• ATP7b transports metals in and out of cells using ATP.
• There are 3 known isoforms of the ATP7b gene; A is found in the liver, kidney, and brain, the shorter form B is found in brain tissue, and the third isoform, known as WND/140kD is found in mitochondria.
• Mutations in the ATP7b gene can cause Wilson’s disease, an inherited disorder causing copper poisoning in the brain and liver.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000.
• Recognizes a band at 165kD, representing ATP7b protein.
• Also recognizes a band at ~220kD
• Immunocytochemistry: 1:500 using ovarian carcinoma cellsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Positive Control: HuH7 hepatocarcinoma cell extracts
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
