- GBX2 (gastrulation brain homeobox) is a member of the homeobox family, which shares a 180 bp DNA sequence that encodes the DNA binding homeodomain.
- GBX2, along with OTX2 and FGF8 establish midbrain-hindbrain boundries in the developing brain.
- Increased GBX2 expression has also been associated with pluripotent cells and metastasic potential in cancers.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1ug/mLOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C.
- Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
