Bcl-2 is the founding member of a family of over 20 proteins that are critical regulators of apoptosis.
These can be divided into two classes: those that inhibit apoptosis and those that promote cell death.
Bcl-2 is an inner mitochondrial membrane protein that inhibits apoptosis.
It is thought to act by interacting with pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members such as Bak and Bad.
Overexpression of Bcl-2 has been linked to human cancers such as B-cell lymphoma and prostate cancer.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Immunofluorescence: 1:100-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
