This gene is a member of the leucine-rich repeat kinase family and encodes a protein with an ankryin repeat region, a leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domain, a GTPase domain, a kinase domain, and a WD40 domain.
The protein is present largely in the cytoplasm, but also associates with lipid membranes.
Mutations in this gene have been genetically lined to late-onset, Lewy body Parkinson disease.
Applicatons:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) and Western blot.Other applications have not been tested
Positive Controls:Human lymphoblasts for IHC and human and mouse brain for Western blot
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
