Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-Like 1 (also IGFBP-rP4) is a secreted member of the IGFBP family of proteins.
Based on human, mature mouse IGFBP-L1 is a 251 amino acid (aa), 38kD glycoprotein.
It contains an N-terminal IGFBP motif (aa 53-68), a kazal-type serine protease inhibitor region (aa 83-143) and a C-terminal Ig-like domain (aa 161-237).
IGFBP-L1 is expressed in brain and testis and may be a tumor suppressor, possibly through the induction of apoptosis.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, and Direct ELISA.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml using recombinant mouse IGFBP-L1Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml detects IGFBP-L1 in immersion fixed frozen sections of embyronic mouse brain (E13.5)Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
