84-1091-34 Protein Gene Product 9.5 (PGP9.5, Ubiquitin CT Hydrolase L1, UCH, UCHL1, Ubiquitin thiolesterase, PARK5) 100ul P9102-70J
特徴
- Protein ubiquitination and deubiquitination is a reversible process catalyzed by ubiquitinating enzymes (UBEs) and deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs).
- DUBs are categorized into 5 subfamilies USP, UCH, OTU, MJD and JAMM.
- UCHL1 and UCHL3 belong to the UCH family of DUBs.
- UCHL1 is abundantly expressed in neuronal tissues and testes, while UCHL3 is more widely distributed.
- UCHL1 binds monoubiquitin and UCHL3 shows affinity to both ubiquitin and NEDD8, a ubiquitin-like molecule.
- Both enzymes play a role in the regulation of neuronal development and spermatogenesis and have been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases.
