AS160 is an 160kD Akt substrate that plays a critical role in regulating insulin-stimulated exocytosis of glucose transporter GLUT4.
AS160 contains a Rab GTPase-activating protein domain (GAP), suggesting its potential role in membrane trafficking.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 detected AS160 (Rab-GAP) in RIPA lysates from 3T3/L1 cells differentiated into adipocytes by MDI treatment.
Also detects AS160 (Rab-GAP) in HEK293 lysates
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control: MDI-treated 3T3/L1 cell lysates
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
