G-protein β-subunit-like (GβL), also known as mLST8, is a subunit of the Target of Rapamycin (TOR) complex.
GβL contains 7 WD-40 repeats, and binds to the kinase domain of TOR in both the Raptor (Rapamycin-sensitive)-and Rictor (Rapamycin- insensitive)-containing complexes.
GβL is necessary for the full activation of the TOR kinase, and phosphorylation of many downstream proteins, including 4E-BP1 and p70 S6 kinase.
Applications:Western Blot: An antibody concentration of 1.0ug/ml is recommended.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile PBS with 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
