FGF-BP, also known as 17kD heparin-binding growth factor binding protein (HBp17) is a secreted, low affinity heparin binding protein.
It binds reversibly to FGF-1, -2, -7, -10, and -22 and functions to release the FGFs from the extracellular matrix for interactions with FGF receptors.
Human FGF-BP shares 66% amino acid sequence homology with the mouse protein.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml.
The detection limit is ~1ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions.
ELISA (Direct): 0.5-1ug/ml.
The detection limit is ~0.5ng/well.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
