Delta-1 (also known as Delta-like 1, DLL1) is an 80-100kD vertebrate homolog of the Drosophila delta protein.
Rat Delta-1 is a type I transmembrane protein that is 697aa in length.
It contains a 520aa extracellular domain (ECD) and a 154aa cytoplasmic region.
The ECD has one DSL segment (aa158-220) and eight consecutive EGF-like domains (aa225-515).
Proteolytic processing of Delta-1 by ADAMs generates soluble intracellular and extracellular domains.
Delta-1 binds to Notch and limits monocyte development while promoting T cell and DC development.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Direct ELISA and Flow Cytometry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 0.1ug/mlImmunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml using immersion fixed frozen sections of embryonic mouse stomachFlow Cytometry: 1ug labels 1x10e6 mouse splenocytes
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
