Human CD99 (also known as MIC2 and E2 antigen) is a 32kD Type I, transmembrane glycoprotein expressed in T cells, CD34+ stem cells, monocytes and NK cells.
CD99 contains an extracellular O-glycosylated domain, a transmembrane domain and a short cytoplasmic domain.
Human CD99 has multiple isoforms, one of which involves a deletion of amino acids 34-49 in the extracellular domain.
Over the extracellular region used as immunogen, human CD99 is 42% and 51% identical to the mouse and canine protein sequences, respectively.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Flow Cytometry, ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml; 10ul will label 1-2.5 x 10e5 cells in a total reaction volume of 200ul.
ELISA (Direct): 0.5-1ug/ml.
The detection limit for rhCD99 is ~0.2ng/well.
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml.
The detection limit for rhCD99 is ~0.5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions
Immunocytochemistry: 5-15ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
