CMG-2, also known as anthrax toxin receptor 2 (ANTXR2) is a 45kD type I membrane protein with a von Willebrand factor A/integrin-like inserted domain in its extracellular region.
CMG-2 binds laminin and collagen type IV.
It also interacts with the protective antigen (PA) subunit of anthrax toxin.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml.
The detection limit for rmCMG-2 is approximately 5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions.
ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml.
The detection limit for rmCMG-2 is approximately 1.5ng/well.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, PBS.
Aliquot and store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
