Axl (also known as ARK, UFO and TYR07) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that contains extracellular regions composed of two IgG-related domains linked to two fibronectin type III repeats.
Gas6, a ligand for Axl, induces Axl phosphorylation on multiple tyrosine residues.
Phosphorylation of Axl at Tyr779 is associated with the activation of PI 3-kinase.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1ug/ml detects Axl in Wl38 human lung cell line conditioned media-treated A172 human glioblastoma cell line
Immunocytochemistry: 5-15ug/ml detects Axl in immersion fixed A172 human glioblastoma cell line with and without pervanadate co-staining with total Axl
Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml detects Axl in immersion fixed paraffin embedded sections of human stomach
Optimal dilution to be determined by researcher.

Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
