MAPK is activated by phosphorylation, whereupon the protein translocates to the nucleus, where it phosphorylates nuclear targets.
MAPK is an important integration point of many signalling pathways, for a range of cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation and development.
The specificity of this antibody has been shown by blocking studies in Western blot, whereby staining was blocked by the phosphopeptide.
No blocking was seen by the corresponding non-phosphopeptide.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot:1:1000, detects a band of approximately 43kD in human T47D lysatesOptimal dilutions determined by the researcher.
