• Humanin (HN) encodes a polypeptide that appears to protect neurons from both cytotoxic and apoptotic cell death in Alzheimer’s disease.
• Analogues of the HN peptide have been shown to spare memory in animal models of Alzheimer’s, suggesting its potentially important therapeutic role.
• It is found in highest levels in testis, colon, and AD-affected brain tissues.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot against the human HN peptide and cell lysates of 293T cells transfected with a GFP tagged HN.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
