SOCS-1 also known as JAB and (STAT)-induced STAT inhibitor 1 (SSI-1) is an SH2-domain-containing protein that is induced by and negatively regulates signalling by a number of cytokines including interleukin-4 (IL-4), IL-6, interferon (IFN)-gamma, prolactin, growth hormone, and erythropoietin.
SOCS1/JAB is rapidly induced by LPS and negatively regulates LPS signalling.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
