The androgen receptor (AR) is a member of the steroid superfamily of ligand-dependent transcription factors.
The expression of AR is reportedly inversely correlated with histologic grade i.e.
well differentiated prostate tumors show higher expression than the poorly differentiated tumors.
In prostate cancer, AR has been proposed as a marker of hormone-responsiveness.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ImmunoprecipitationWestern Blot and Immunoistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1ug/ml for 2 hoursImmunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:100 to 1:200 for 30 minutes at RT.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes
Optimal dilutions to be setermined by researcher.
