Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template.
Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability.
DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.

仕様
Size:200ul
Host:rabbit
Source Antibody:human
Grade:Serum
Purity:Serum depleted of non-methyl reactive antibodies
Form:Supplied as a liquid containing 0.05% sodium azide, 30% glycerol.
Specificity:Recognizes Histone H3 containing trimethyl-lysine 9 and, to a lesser extent, dimethyl-lysine 9. 10uM of a Histone H3 peptide containing trimethyl-lysine 9 abolished detection of Histone H3 by anti-trimethyl Histone H3 (Lys9) in immunoblot analysis of HeLa acid extracts. Slight signal reduction was observed with 10uM of a Histone H3 peptide containing dimethyl-lysine 9.Slight crossreactivity with Histone H3 peptides containing dimethyl-lysine 9 and trimethyl-lysine 27 was detected using Beadlyte Histone Peptide Assay. Slight crossreactivity with Histone H3 peptide containing dimethyl-lysine 9 was detected by peptide Dot Blot analysis.
