VSV is a member of the Rhabdoviridae family, and consists of a single RNA molecule that encodes five proteins, one of which is a surface glycoprotein (G).
G is a type I membrane glycoprotein and is responsible for viral binding to cell surface receptors and initiating the infectious process.
VSV-G Epitope Tags specifically recognize fusion proteins containing the VSV-G epitope tag sequence (YTDIEMNRLGK).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:8,000 to 1:32,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%).
Freeze at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
