Nestin is a marker of multipotent neuroectodermal cells and is downregulated as the cells cease division and differentiate to their neural or glial lineages.
Expression of Nestin is seen in almost all GBMs (Glioblastoma mulitformes) and many melanomas (both primary and metastatic) but not in any metastatic carcinomas.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:20,000-1:80,000Western Blot: 1:500-1:3000Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/ml, requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment for 20 minutes prior to staining of paraffin sections using 0.01M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
