Group A streptococci, cause a wide-range of disease in humans, from mild sore throats to life-threatening invasive disease such as necrotising fasciitis.
Streptococcus pyogenes (a group A Streptococcus) is one of the most important pathogens encountered in clinical practice.
Group A streptococci (GAS) are gram-positive, non-motile, non-spore-forming organisms that appear as pairs or short-to-moderate-sized chains.
Applications:Suitable for use in FLISA and Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50 Acetone fixation of the antigen source is recommended prior to staining
FLISA: 1:20-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
