• jejuni is a curved, rod-shaped gram negative bacterium which is a member of the Campylobacteraceae family.
• They are motile with a polar unsheathed flagellum that results in a corkscrew like motion.
• They occur primarily as commensals in humans and domestic animals, particularly in chickens where gut temperatures of 42ºC are optimal for growth.
• C.
• jejuni are one of the most common causes of human diarrhea in the world.
• Food poisoning can be severely debilitating, although rarely life-threatening as the disease is self limiting.
• Campylobacter infections are also associated with post-infectious complications including arthritis, Reiter syndrome and Guillain-Barre´ syndrome.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:200- 1:1000Western Blot: 1:20-1:200Immunocytochemistry: 1:20-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
