• TGFb1 (transforming growth factor-beta1) is a family of multifunctional 25kD proteins.
• TGFb1 was originally identified for its ability to induce the growth of normal rodent fibroblasts in soft agar.
• It is now known that TGFb1 is a potent growth inhibitor of many normal and transformed cell lines.
• It regulates normal cell growth, development and tissue remodeling following injury.
• TGFb1 is produced as latent high molecular weight complexes.
• The activation of latent TGFb1 is an important step in the regulation of its action.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:2000Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:500Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
