特徴
- Gai2 is a 40--41kD alpha-subunit of heterotrimeric protein, that shares sequence homology with Gai3 and Gai1.
- All these G proteins can be ADP-ribosylated at the carboxy terminal Cys of the CAAX sequence, interfering with receptor coupling.
- Gi2 is expressed widely in tissues and cell lines.
- Activation of PLC-B by Gai-coupled receptors is the result of release of GBy subunits from Gai.
- Gai2 regulates potassium channel activation.
- Mutation at Arg 179 has been identified in tumors.
- This and the Q205L mutant inhibit adenyl cyclase.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:5000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer
