Neuropeptide Y is a peptide belonging to the PP-family and occurs in neurons and adrenal medullary cells.
The brain contains large quantities of NPY and it is also found in the peripheral nervous system, where it coexists with nonadrenaline in sympathetic fibers.
NPY inhibits gut motility and causes vasoconstriction.
Pheochromocytomas contain NPY.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Immunofluorescence Microscopy (Frozen): 1:200-1:400 with overnight incubation at 4°C

Positive Control:Stefanini-fixed sections of rat small intestine.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
