Neurokinin A/Substance K represents a member of the tachykinin family of peptides.
Neurokinin A, which arises by cleavage of the substance P precursor, occurs in neurons in the central and peripheral nervous systems, and is particularly numerous in the gastrointestinal tract.
The biological actions of neurokinin A are similar to those of substance P, and include vasodilation and stimulation of smooth muscle contraction.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin sections): 1:400-1:800 (PAP)
Immunofluorescence microscopy: 1:200-1:400 (using FITC) with overnight incubation at 4°C
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:Formalin-fixed paraffin sections of rat colon
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
