The peptide was found in the salivary gland venom of the lizard Gila monster.
It belongs to the VIP-secretin family of peptides and has many VIP-like actions.
Helospectin-immunoreactivity has been demonstrated in the neurons of the gut.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.

Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:400-1:800Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:Stefanini-fixed frozen sections of rat small intestine (1% carbodiimide added to the fixative).
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
