Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are signaling molecules that recognize different microbial products during infection and serve as an important link between the innate and adaptive immune responses (1-3).
These proteins act through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TIRAP to activate various kinases and transcription factors (4,5).
Like TLR7, TLR8 is localized to endosomal or lysosomal compartments (6) and stimulates the innate immune response after activation by guanosine- and uridine-rich single-stranded RNA (7).
Human but not murine TLR8 confers responsiveness to the antiviral compound R-848 (8).
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/mlImmunohistochemistry: 2ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
